New product range for large gear applications
In partnership with innovative and long established gear manufacturer Keller, Centa now provides large-scale, specialised and complex gear solutions for heavy industry, including cement, construction, food, materials handling, mining, quarrying, steel production and shipping.
Now you can benefit from 150 years of combined manufacturing knowledge and specify Centa, who now solve even the biggest, heaviest and most complex of drive problems.
The close proximity of the Keller and Centa plants in Germany means that entire drive solutions can be easily created through the integration of skills that you, as a UK cusomer, can now access a fully comprehensive service; from the smallest spiral bevel gearbox to gears of up to four metres diameter and bespoke gearboxes of up to 160 tons.
FOOD PROCESSING
Long experience gained through co-operation with food processors and universities worldwide. Our heavy duty gearboxes for food presses are the preferred equipment in most European sugar factories.
STEEL PRODUCTION
Over 100 years experience in casting and steel making applications. The product range of medium and large-size gearboxes, of up to 40 tons capacity, provides high power output for a perfect finish in aluminium or steel.
SHIPBUILDING & OFFSHORE
Already market leaders in carbon fibre shafts for the marine industry, Centa’s capability is now further enhanced by this range of gearboxes of 15,000kW and more. Plus, gears and gearboxes for other deck and engine room drive applications.
CEMENT INDUSTRY
From vertical and horizontal mills and kilns to conveyor systems, we supply gearboxes and transmissions for all aspects of cement production. We also provide pinions for ring gears in mills and furnaces and many other similar parts.
MINING INDUSTRY
Heavy-duty transmission capacity through gears and gearboxes capable of up to 2,500kW input power. This heavy duty drive equipment is suitable for conveyor belts, bucket wheels or slewing gears. PTO drives for heavy plant and equipment also available.
RUBBER AND PLASTICS
Many decades of experience developing drive solutions for the rubber and plastics industry, our heavy gears meet the most stringent operating requirements, with high torques and improved performance for perfect reliability.
