These ultra-slim, zero backlash Centa Robus units are based on the cycloidal principle, making them ideal for highly dynamic robotic and similar positioning duties. The design incorporates three cycloid discs each displaced by 120o - ensuring optimum load distribution, high torsional stiffness, and high output torques with momentary overload capacities up to 24,000Nm. There are six standard sizes with higher ratios being obtained by integral
planetary gears. The output drive connection can be a flange or shaft
with an optional single crossed roller bearing or double taper roller
bearings. The units are fully compatible with robotic design practice
and have external diameters from 115mm to 330mm.
