The rolling contact and distributed torque of the cycloidal principle
allows these standard units to maintain high efficiency up to 94%. Size
for size they are therefore able to transmit higher outputs than the equivalent
helical or worm gear unit, often permitting a smaller and lower cost cycloidal
unit to be specified. Ideally suited to heavy duty applications with a
peak shock load capability of up to 500%, the range includes twenty sizes
with sixteen single stage ratios from 6:1 to 119:1. Two stage reductions
offer ratios to 10,000:1 and three stage reductions to 1,000,000:1.
All units are foot or flange mounting and supplied with or without motors.
