Shipley 17.01.18 - A new Mazak Integrex J200 Smooth G 1000 U 5 Axis CNC machine has arrived at Centa’s Shipley headquarters. With an increase in work coming from both existing and new customers, Centa has taken delivery of the new machine to enable them to step up production to meet delivery on a growing order book.

Centa managing director, Darren Hudson, says: “The power tooling on this new machine will allow us to manufacture bored and keyed components, as well as other parts, complete. Previously, this work would have required two or three machines for the same output. It now means that we will be able to machine components more efficiently, as well as increase our machining capacity.”

This latest capital investment takes Centa’s CNC machine count to 16 and will also create another job for the local area.

“This is our first Mazak machine”, says Hudson. “We are very pleased to be able to continue our investment in manufacturing equipment, as well as show our continuing commitment to meeting customer demands.” Return to main News Page
